Remaking/Reproducing the Cheetah?

Various folks have posted about trying to reproduce the Cheetah. I, for one, would love to try, but it will be a few years(!) before I will probably have the time. Have any of y'all made an attempt at remaking/reproducing the Cheetah?

We should start by posting and distributing plans so we can make home made versions for our own kids. And while we are at it, why not an adult version. I beleive the Cheetah was faster for the same reason the recumbent bicycle is faster. All that talk about being low for reduced wind resistance is nonsense. When in a recumbent position one can push with the full force of one's leg. On a bicycle your force is limited to your weight and your speed is limited to your own speed. But in a recumbent position you can exert greater force than gravity and let the gears translate it to speed.

Naw, man. The Cheetah got it's speed from magic!
All those little babies riding their Big Wheels could do was stop and drool while we whipped by them at just a little under the speed of sound.
